Yesterday as I stood stage right in the grass with the wind blowing and then sun beaming down on us. I felt the ancients all around us. They came to us, the Ola had done its job perfectly. It was as if they had been waiting for a very long time. Thinking maybe that we mortals had completely forgotten the ancient ways. But gratefully that’s not the case. Kumu would not let that happen. The shrine stood before us and as the winds picked up, we felt the energy shift and they were swirling all around us in the wind.  I caught my Hula Sis’s eye and confirmed the fact that we all were being taken over by the energy. We were fighting back the tears of pure love or Aloha. And then when we finished, as we moved forward and joined hands, for Me Ke Aloha, we bubbled over like Pele herself and let the tears run down our cheeks. This weekend will live forever in my heart as one of the most beautiful days of love this lifetime has had to offer me.

Aloha
